About Lisa Phillips
Hi! I’m Lisa Phillips. I’m a step-mother, wife, geek and roller derby enthusiast (in about that order) living in Seattle, WA. I grew up in many places, but generally call Tucson, Arizona and the Sonoran desert “home.” At the time of this writing I’m living in South Seattle in a 1959 ranch house with 2 cats, 2 turtles, a coffee-geek husband and smart, beautiful, edgy, roller derby playing and talented 10 year old step-daughter.
I’ve been fortunate to be a part of the technology, community and social media movement since 1998. You can find out more about my professional history from my LinkedIn Profile. I’m currently working for Twitter on the Technical Operations team. Follow me @lisaphillips.
I’ve been involved with Roller Derby since 2004. I’m a founding member of the Rat City Rollergirls, a roller derby team ranked in the top 10 of the nation. I’m a coach for the Seattle Derby Brats Tootsy Rollers, where my step-daughter plays, and my husband is board member. I volunteer as a geek behind the scenes for leading Roller Derby News Site Derby News Network. I support the Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby Association and am very excited about seeing how this amazing sport grows!
